Over and over, I saw the same pattern:
Highly capable professionals—smart, experienced, and more than qualified—being passed over.
Not because they weren’t good enough.
But because their resumes sounded like everyone else’s.
Because their value wasn’t immediately obvious.
Because they didn’t know how to position themselves for the roles they actually wanted.
Meanwhile, less qualified candidates—who knew how to tell a clearer story—were getting the interviews.
That disconnect stuck with me.
